DESCRIPTION:\n\nEach two years HZDR opens the doors of the Laboratory to the general public. Posters\, interactive simulations\, discussions about goals\, methods and results of the research make alive the interaction with the public. About 3400 visitors attended this event. Two posters have been presented by MUSE researchers during the 2016 edition of the "Tag des offenen Labors":\n\n\n \t`The Mu2e experiment at Fermilab in Chicago' covered the Mu2e experiment's physics motivation\, illustrated the way the measurement of muon-to-electron transition will be done and finally introduced the two main detectors of the experiment\, the tracking chamber and the calorimeter;\n\n\n \t`From particle physics to medical application' showed how research on detector technology for particle physics can improve diagnostic instruments for cancer therapy.\n\n \n
